Did you know that when you pick up your latte each
morning, your mail will be waiting for you? Also, we have your giant tumbler
that you get 5 free refills in each day waiting for you by the counter. Oh
wait, but don’t forget about your cereal. We’re all supposed to have a decent
breakfast each morning… so why not multitask and keep your cereal at the coffee
shop? Then you won’t have you use your own milk or dishes after all! Brilliant.
Did you know that your local coffee shop is also a free storage facility?

Out of Order
This afternoon one of my regulars came up to inform me that I might want to make the men's room "out of order". Apparently someone put a bunch of toilet paper in the toilet bowl, so it couldn't be flushed. "Oh alright, thanks!" I say, thinking to myself how I hear this all the time and really someone was just too lazy to flush before. Guess I was mistaken.
One of our oh so lovely customers decided to go to the bathroom all down the side and front of the toilet. Not IN the toilet. All over the OUTSIDE. How that is possible, I do not know. They then proceeded to fill the entire toilet bowl with unused toilet paper. Why, I do not know.
I walked out of the bathroom, deciding there was no way I was cleaning that. Nope, not happening. As i'm strolling through the lobby, I see another regular (this time a not so nice one) take her plate with cream cheese and butter packets and spread ALL of the cream cheese and butter across her empty plate. She then sets it on the floor and lets her "service" dog lick it clean of course. Of course. Because that is good "coffee shop etiquette", and i'm sure no one would have a problem ever eating off of that plate again. Uh huh. Of course.
Today makes me question, do these people do this at home? If I walked into their house, would I see a bathroom covered in feces and left to rot? Plates all over the floors with a dog licking each one clean? Probably not. But hey! Why not go to your local coffee shop and do it there? I mean, what a great idea! Then you'd never have to clean it up. I'm sure the barista who's been waiting on you and jumping at your every whim for 6 years wouldn't have to do it.
